Five Zero launches Exeter PR Agency
Andrew Chatterton, former head of B2B at Storm Communications, has teamed up with industry veteran Nick Band to launch an Exeter PR agency.
The pair have set up Five Zero Communications to target the region’s booming tech industries as well providing services as to a wider national and international market.
Five Zero opened its first office in Exeter city centre this week and is soon to open a second to service the London market.
The new agency launches with the London-based on-demand labour specialist MBA and Co as its first client.
Chatterton, who takes up the role of MD in the new venture, said: “When Nick and I first started talking about a start-up, we wanted to offer high value services to a growing market. Exeter ticked all the boxes and we headed west.”
Five Zero will primarily offer media and analyst relations in B2B markets, promising a strong commercial focus aimed at growing client revenues.
“We are more about fortune than fame”, Chatterton added.
Before moving to Exeter, Chatterton worked in a number of B2B and tech agencies, including Johnson King (now part of Finn Partners), Schwarz Communications (now part of MSL), Spreckley and most recently Storm Communications where he headed up the Corporate B2B team.
Band, who founded Band & Brown Communications, has been searching for an investment since selling the £7 m turnover agency in 2010.
“I met dozens of people and listened to countless visions, but it was the very commercial Five Zero proposition that really grabbed me. After all, clients are after growth not coverage per se.”
Band will act as chairman for the new agency and run operations in London.
